New-Smyrna-Beach-Museum-of-History New Smyrna Museum of History  – See how the Southeast Volusia Historical Society, preserves, interprets, and promotes history in Southeast Volusia.  Admission is by donation and is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm Tuesday – Saturday. 120 Sams Avenue, New Smyrna Beach.  (386) 478-0052.



Canale  Downtown New Smyrna Beach   The historic buildings and gorgeous architecture area creates the perfect backdrop to charming, historic downtown New Smyrna Beach.  The tree-lined, pedestrian friendly streets offer a variety of specialty shops, fine dining, and cultural attractions. Parking is free.



canaveral-national-seashore  Canaveral National Seashore Year round recreation including fishing, boating, canoeing, surfing, sunbathing, swimming, hiking, camping, nature and historical trails.  Visit the Eldora Statehouse, filled with history of earlier life along Mosquito Lagoon.

Steel MagnoliasJanuary 10 – 19 – The quintessential story of friendship and trust, Steel Magnolias serves up a southern view of life that’s as warm and comforting as a slice of sweet potato pie.  In the world of a local homegrown beauty salon, six very different women come together to share their secrets, fears and love for one another while engaging the audience in hysterical and neighborly gossip.  Curtain time is 8:00pm and 2:00pm  on Sundays.  Visit for ticket information.

Home Show & Business Expo January 18, Saturday, 10am to 4pm – Business showcases and retail sales booths.  With entertainment, educational displays, kids fun zone, food & more! Event takes place on historic downtown Canal Street.

Monthly Recurring Events:

Art Walk / Gallery Stroll – January 4, Saturday, 10am to 7pm – The galleries located on Douglas and historic Canal Streets feature monthly solo and group exhibitions, artist talks and live music.  Held every first Saturday of the month, this event is free and has been a gathering spot for art lovers, patrons, and artists for many years. 

East Coast Cruiser Night -January 11, Saturday, 4pm to 8pm – A classic car show hosted by the East Coast Cruisers Car Club is held every second Saturday of the Month on Canal Street.  The street is closed to all vehicle traffic with the exception of the classic cars.  Fun for the whole family with a DJ, food, and shopping. 

 Wine Walk – January 25, Saturday, 1pm to 7pm – Stroll Flagler Avenue and enjoy wine tasting with live music and many fine dining restaurants.  Passport tickets can be purchased at the corner of Cooper Street and Flagler Avenue.
