Just like every place that resides on or near Flagler Ave, these local restaurants are only steps away from the main beach entrance (or across from the public access point on 27th Ave) and are perfect for grabbing light meals in between surfing sessions and sunbathing naps. From acai bowls to calzones, there’s a NSB restaurant for whatever you’re craving!

GoJuice – 221 Flagler Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

Surrounded by palm trees, hammocks, and outdoor seating, you’ll instantly vibe with the island feel of the outdoor café, GoJuice.  Serving a tropical menu of fresh juices, smoothies, and acai bowls, this colorful food truck sources all of its ingredients locally and blends its healthy treats right there in front of you. This little food truck company has its origins in Pura Vida, Costa Rica and now is permanently parked along Flagler Ave offering its fruit and coffee to our Florida beach town. We especially love this company as it does its part in protecting Mother Nature with its locally sourced food, compostable bowls, and handmade papaya straws. The famous west-coast style Poke Bowls have finally made their way to New Smyrna Beach! Da Kine Poke serves its fresh veggies and sushi-style seafood in its aesthetic location off of Flagler Ave. While Poke fans love signature dishes like the Hawaiian Poke Bowl or El Diablo, most hungry guests go the “Build-A-Bowl” route where you can select the base, protein, toppings, and sauces that make your mouth water most. Izzy’s Island Tacos and Ice Cream– 3600 S Atlantic Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

Tacos + ice cream… Enough said. Izzy’s Island brings delicious, cultural flavor to NSB’s casual restaurant scene with its infamous street tacos and steak fajitas. While we don’t understand why anyone would skip out on tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, they do also serve a variety of American-style favorites such as hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. This family-run business is located across the street from the public beach entrance, near the corner of Atlantic and 27th Ave. Along with delish Hispanic eats, Izzy’s is famous for its wide variety of ice cream flavors and toppings – all of which you can easily order from their outdoor serving window. Manny’s Pizza – 3318 S Atlantic Ave, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

Though unassuming in appearance, locals know that there’s no place like Manny’s Pizza for hearty post-beach eats! This NSB pizzeria exudes nostalgia of simpler times with its classic booth seating, old-school arcade area, and coin-pusher machine that hooks everyone into gambling quarters away. Unlike most pizza places, Manny’s menu offers far more than just the bread, sauce, and cheese staple. Bring a carb-loving appetite and a craving for Italian cuisine as this casual restaurant serves everything from eggplant parmesan to calzones to baked ziti. Don’t skip out on appetizers either, our go-to order always includes the famous Greek salad and bruschetta bread basket. And of course, there’s plenty of delish pizza options for everyone to share! Though this restaurant is a sit-down, it requires no reservations and the atmosphere is very laid-back. Step in the Little Drug Co. to time travel back to when Elvis rocked and milkshake malts were a drug store staple. Maintaining its original 1950’s soda fountain, the Little Drug Co. has held on to a charming era and continues to serve NSB with some of the best quick breakfast and lunch bites in town. Grab a booth and enjoy an afternoon burger and malt while you wait on a prescription or rest between window shopping.

Panhead’s Pizzeria – 113 S Orange St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168

Pizza Hut, who? Once you’ve tried the delicious, Italian flavors of Panheads Pizzeria, there’s no going back! Located on a side street off of Canal, this trendy pizza place has become a staple restaurant in the historic NSB district. Though modern and hip, Panheads keeps its atmosphere casual making it an ideal spot for laid back eats.  While they do serve other Italian staples, there’s no way you’ll want to miss out on tasting the one-of-a-kind, gourmet pizzas like their Ring of Fire, Dr. Feelgood, and Sweet Home Alabama. Yellow Dog Eats – 147 Canal St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168

If you prefer tender, pulled pork sandwiches and smoked chicken wraps to seafood, you’ll absolutely need to make a stop at Canal Street’s Yellow Dog Eats. This lip-smacking restaurant is newer to the NSB dining scene and is one of two local locations (the other being in the Orlando area).  You’ll find yourself at a bit of a loss when perusing a menu so full of delicious options, which just means you’ll have to keep returning until you’ve tried them all! While they primarily serve BBQ, Yellow Dog Eats also provides vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions. Check out their menu and get ready for some good eats!
