JB’s is much more than just a restaurant! It is located on the Canaveral National Seashore, and devotes itself to the love of the water through more than just the food.
When you’re looking for some interesting New Smyrna Beach things to do, drive or boat over to JB’s, located between Mosquito Lagoon and the ocean. If you’re driving, you can cruise down Turtlemound Road until you see the sign. This family friendly environment offers outdoor and indoor seating, paddle board rentals, kayak rentals, and a fully stocked bar. Parking is ample, and this location is ready to welcome groups of all ages.
The kids will enjoy watching the ocean wildlife, including dolphins, manatees, and interested bird varieties, from the dock of the restaurant while they eat their meals. Bring the family’s fishing poles, or rent them on location, to drop a line from our dock.
The restaurant opens every day at 11 AM, so come for lunch or dinner and stay for the sunset. Happy hour is held between 4 and 6 PM, and live music runs every weekend through the summer. The menu includes clams, seafood gumbo, alligator, oysters, crab, calamari, chicken wings, tuna, and corn dogs. It also includes a variety of sandwiches, fish baskets, grouper, flounder, mahi mahi, shrimp, beef steaks, and pies for dessert. There is a full kids’ menu, and a special offer: if you catch it, they will cook it! Any fresh catch of the day will be cooked by the kitchen chef. Pay with credit card for any of the items from the menu, the bar, or from the available rental options.
The kayak and paddle board rentals are perfect for a day on the water. Purchase whatever you need to take kayaking or fishing for the day, including ice, snacks, bait, and more. There is no dress code here, so show up ready to eat a good meal then take on the water afterward.
Reservations are not accepted, however, JB’s looks forward to large groups and can accommodate. Among New Smyrna Beach restaurants, JB’s Fish Camp is unique. It is the only full service, water based facility in the area. Visitors and locals are drawn here for more than the fresh fish and local spirits. They come for the options, the view, and the chance to relax close to the water. Everyone here is friendly and laid back, allowing guests to relax in any way they choose.
